Hawker centre action!

I love hawker centres, especially those away from the city centre. Very often you see the maestros of checkers - or is it Chinese checkers? I'm not sure myself! - quietly battling it out. Sometimes you get onlookers who with the quiet ways of Wise Men discuss the wisdom or folly of various moves, while some, I think, have monetary stakes on who will win! Not noisy, not boisterous, but studiously focused and equally studiously ignored by the players. Join me on one of my tours and if we're lucky, we may catch some action!
